About Us The Straddie Hotel is a busy, much-loved venue on North Stradbroke Island with hotel rooms, apartments and a full hospitality offering. We pride ourselves on clean, comfy, beautifully presented rooms, and we're after a hands-on leader to keep our housekeeping crew running like clockwork.

The Role

You'll look after the day-to-day running of housekeeping and cleaning across our hotel rooms, apartments and public areas. This is a working supervisor role: you'll lead the team, check the standards, and roll up your sleeves to help out when it gets busy. If a perfectly made bed and a well-organised shift make you happy, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Be Doing

Housekeeping and cleaning

- Supervise the team's daily cleaning of guest rooms, apartments and public areas
- Allocate daily tasks, prepare assignment sheets and review priorities throughout the shift
- Inspect rooms and public areas to make sure cleanliness and presentation standards are met
- Check vacant and occupied rooms, confirm room status and report any discrepancies
- Jump in and help the team when needed to meet demand and guest requests
- Train new housekeepers to our standards and procedures
- Keep the housekeeping logbook accurate and up to date

Accommodation operations

- Work closely with Reception on room moves, special requests, VIP guests and daily occupancy
- Spot and report maintenance issues,



and follow up so rooms are sorted before they're released
- Issue and collect keys, room lists, checklists and cleaning schedules at the start and end of shifts
- Make sure uniform, hygiene and health and safety standards are followed
- Liaise with other departments to keep everything running smoothly

Admin and stock

- Help with staff rosters and payroll information
- Order, restock and manage housekeeping supplies, and run regular stocktakes
- Assist with letting arrangements and owner communications alongside the Administration Manager

About You

- Experience in housekeeping or accommodation supervision
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- A sharp eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Great communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, flexible, hands-on, can-do attitude
- Valuable physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks
