Long-term, site-based opportunity on a multi-year project with an established national contractor The Company This leading Australian electrical and mechanical services contractor has an established reputation for delivering complex building services packages across major commercial, healthcare, infrastructure, and industrial projects.

With a strong pipeline of major construction projects and a reputation for delivering technically challenging work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced HSE Advisor to support the electrical construction works on a significant new hospital development in Coomera.

The Role In this role you will take responsibility for HSE across the electrical works package on a major hospital construction project, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure all activities are delivered safely and in accordance with legislative and project requirements.

This is a hands-on, site-based position where you'll be actively involved in daily operations, supporting the planning and execution of electrical works, monitoring high-risk activities, and ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout the project.

You'll be the key HSE contact for the electrical construction team, working collaboratively with the principal contractor and wider project stakeholders to identify risks, resolve issues, and promote a proactive safety culture.

With the hospital development expected to run for several years,



this offers the stability of a long-term position on a major project, rather than a typical short-term construction contract.

Duties:

- Take ownership of HSE across the electrical works package on a major hospital construction project
- Maintain a highly visible safety presence across site activities
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring
- Review SWMS, risk assessments, and high-risk work procedures
- Support safe delivery of electrical installations, energisation activities, and other high-risk construction works
- Liaise with the principal contractor to ensure compliance with site-wide safety requirements
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain HSE documentation, reporting, and compliance records

Requirements:

- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor within an electrical environment
- Background as a qualified electrician, electrical engineer, or HSE professional with experience overseeing electrical contractors.
- Robust understanding of WHS legislation, construction compliance, and high-risk activities
- Knowledge of electrical safety requirements, isolation procedures, and energisation risks advantageous
