VTG Waste & Recycling is seeking an Industrial Chemist to support our resource recovery and liquid waste treatment operations. This hands-on role combines chemistry, field sampling and operational problem-solving, giving you the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge directly to real-world industrial processes.

Working closely with operators and technical leaders, you'll assess a diverse range of waste streams, helping ensure materials are safely accepted, treated and recovered.

What You'll Do

- Collect and analyse liquid and solid waste samples in industrial, laboratory and field environments.

- Assess waste streams to support treatment, recovery and disposal decisions.

- Identify chemical compatibility risks, unusual results and operational hazards.

- Communicate findings and recommendations to operational teams.

- Support QA/QC activities, risk assessments, work instructions and technical documentation.

- Contribute to safe, compliant and efficient plant operations.

About You





- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.

- Strong understanding of chemistry principles and safe work practices.

- Ability to interpret data, solve problems and make sound technical judgements.

- Confident communicator who can explain technical information clearly.

- Exposure to waste management, environmental services, water treatment, mining or industrial processing environments will be highly regarded.
