About the role

We are looking for an experienced Integration Architect with deep Boomi expertise to design and lead enterprise integration solutions for a major media client. You will own the integration architecture end to end, from requirements and solution design through to delivery governance, and guide a team of Boomi developers.

Key responsibilities

- Define the integration architecture and standards on Boomi, covering patterns (point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, event-driven, API-led), error handling, retry, logging and monitoring.
- Translate business and technical requirements into solution designs, interface specifications and data mappings.
- Select and size Boomi runtimes (Atoms, Molecules, Cloud Atoms) and design environment, deployment and release strategies, including CI/CD.
- Design and govern APIs using Boomi API Management, including security, versioning and throttling.
- Lead and mentor Boomi developers: review builds, enforce reuse and naming standards, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Run performance tuning, capacity planning and production support escalations.
- Work with client stakeholders, enterprise architects and platform teams (for example CRM, ERP, subscription, advertising and content systems) to align integration design with the wider landscape.
- Produce explicit architecture documentation, including high-level and low-level designs and runbooks.





Essential skills and experience

- 8+ years in integration, including 4+ years hands-on with the Boomi AtomSphere platform in an architect or lead role.
- Proven delivery of multiple large-scale Boomi implementations, from design to go-live.
- Strong knowledge of Boomi processes, connectors, maps, Atom/Molecule administration, and API Management.
- Solid grounding in REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, SQL, and messaging and file-based integration (SFTP, queues, EDI).
- Security expertise: OAuth 2.0, SAML, certificates, encryption and secure data handling.
- Experience with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, SAP, Workday, NetSuite or ServiceNow.
- Strong stakeholder communication, with the ability to explain design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Australian working rights, and the ability to obtain a baseline security clearance if required by the client.

Desirable

- Media, publishing or digital content industry experience.
- Boomi certifications (Associate, Professional Developer, Professional API Design, Architect).
- Exposure to other integration platforms (MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, Kafka) and migration from them to Boomi.
- DevOps and tooling: Git, Jenkins or Azure DevOps, and automated testing for integrations.
- Experience with Boomi Master Data Hub, Flow, or EDI/B2B.
