About RAL The Refugee Association of Logan (RAL) is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2013 to respond to the needs of vulnerable Refugees and Asylum Seekers living in Logan, Queensland. We distribute everyday items, clothing, and food to hundreds of people in need of relief. In addition to that, we provide weekly English lessons and maintain a secretarial service that covers duties like form filling and immigration information.

We receive no official funding to carry out our services and rely primarily on donor contributions to continue our efforts. Volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and ensure our services remain up and running.

Our goal is to provide a sense of safety and belonging to those resettling in Australia and embrace them into the fabric of our community.

We are a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

Role Description

RAL is seeking a local IT skilled or student who can provide on-call technical support to help maintain the organisation's IT systems and resolve technical difficulties.



This is a volunteer opportunity to contribute your skills to a not-for-profit organisation supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the Logan community.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to IT support requests and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Assist staff and volunteers with software applications and related technical difficulties.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to help maintain system performance.
- Provide guidance on basic IT issues to support the smooth operation of the office.

Requirements

- Qualified IT professional or currently studying in an IT-related field.
- Availability to respond to IT requests on an on-call basis during office hours. Our office is open two days a week: Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-2pm.
- Familiarity with common office software, computers and network systems.
- Reliability and a willingness to support a community organisation.
