LAUNDRY OPERATIONS MANAGER

Location PERTH WA (Metropolitan)

Salary $80,000-$83,000 plus Superannuation. (Depending on experience)

We are looking for an energetic, results-driven Laundry Operations Manager to oversee a business which caters to contractual business and on-demand jobs.

Role Purpose The laundry operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end operation, and as a Hands-on operator, including financial performance and workflow optimisation of our commercial facility.

You will directly lead a team of laundry attendants and driver to ensure we deliver safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities Production Management:Oversee daily washing, sorting drying and packaging schedules to meet strict customer turnaround.

Team leadership: Manage, mentor and organise roster for floor attendants and driver.

Quality and Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with AustralianStandardAS/NZS 4146 (Laundry Practice)



regarding infection control and thermal/chemical disinfection.

Work Health & Safety: Foster a pro-active safety culture, conduct hazard risk assessments, and ensure compliance with machinery handling guidelines.

Machinery Maintenance:Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules for Washers and dryers to minimise operational downtime.

Repair machines when necessary

Cost Control: Monitor pricing and work completion to ensure we get the required return.

Skills & Experience Minimum 3-5 years of leadership in a busy commercial laundry, or commercial cleaning business.

Deep understanding of laundry systems, industrial washing equipment and automation,

Demonstrated ability to build, manage and motivate a culturally diverse operational team

Friendly and confident dealings with customers.

Excellent logistical problem-solving and computer skills for scheduling and billing.

Robust commercial acumen with a record of optimising workflows to improve cost efficiency.

Thorough knowledge of Xero Accounting System essential

Special projects Each Christmas/New Year we cater to large high pressure event which operates most days including weekends and some holidays.

In addition we cater to a major winter Sporting Event which operates from 4.00pm to 11.00pm for up to 5 days.
