The Opportunity

Due to continued growth of our firm, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer with 0-3 years post-admission experience to join our Private Client Advisory team at our Ballarat office.

Working closely with experienced practitioners, you will assist in delivering practical, commercially focused legal advice to business owners and private clients across a diverse range of matters, including structuring, taxation, superannuation, estate planning, asset protection and business succession.

This position is well suited to a motivated and proactive Lawyer with strong analytical skills, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in developing their expertise in Private Client Advisory.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

- Conduct legal research and prepare advice, correspondence, file notes and legal documents under appropriate supervision.

- Assist with matters involving business and ownership structures, trusts,



superannuation, estate planning, asset protection and succession planning.

- Review legal, commercial and financial information to identify issues and support practical, commercially focused solutions.

- Assist with implementing legal advice, including preparing and coordinating documents, transactions, lodgements and completion requirements.

- Liaise professionally with clients, accountants, financial advisers and other stakeholders.

- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas on matters requiring multidisciplinary expertise.

- Maintain accurate matter files, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while ensuring compliance with professional and Firm requirements.

About You

We are looking for a Lawyer with 0–3 years PQE who demonstrates initiative, sound judgement and a genuine interest in Private Client Advisory.

Ideal applicants will demonstrate

- A Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor and admission to legal practice in Victoria, or eligibility for admission.

- Strong legal research, analytical and drafting skills.

- Commercial awareness and an interest in taxation, trusts, superannuation, business structures and estate planning.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach.

- Solid organisational and time management skills,



with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

- High attention to detail, integrity and commitment to confidentiality.

- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external professional advisers.

- Initiative, adaptability and a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise

- Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
