Lead a room of just 12 toddlers, with their own playground, a private deck and a dedicated art space. We will provide extra staffing while you settle in, on-site programming time, and the freedom to run your room the way you know works.
Advantages
- Above award pay: $36 to $46 per hour, with the ECEC Worker Retention Payment on top.
- $2,000 sign on bonus: Paid in instalments once you have passed probation.
- A 1:4 toddler ratio: Time to sit on the floor, get to know each child and give them your full attention.
- Total programming freedom: No Educational Leader looking over your shoulder. Our Centre Director is our Educational Leader, and she trusts you to program and set up your room as you see fit.
- Support when you start: Extra staff rostered while you learn the room and meet the families.
- Programming time on site: Uninterrupted time off the floor. Nothing comes home with you.
- Help when you need it: Centre Management is right there for challenging behaviour, tricky family conversations and room decisions.
- Work life balance: A predictable roster, a stable room and a guaranteed Christmas closure.
- Funded training: First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis paid for, with time off in lieu.
About the role You will lead our Toddlers Room for children aged 15 months to 2.5 years, 5 days a week.
The room has just 12 children, their own playground away from the older children, a deck with tables, a dedicated art space and a large air conditioned room inside.
Nobody here will hand you a rigid curriculum. We are looking for passionate educators dedicated to delivering high-quality early learning.
You will have the freedom to build your program around what the children are curious about and to document their learning in whatever way works best for you.
Our families like to know the people caring for their children, so you will want to be comfortable stopping for a chat. Share a milestone, mention something funny that happened, or simply ask how their day has been.
About you
You are a warm, kind educator who loves working with toddlers, enjoys getting to know families, and is ready to guide a small room team.
You do not need to have held a Lead Educator title before. If you are an experienced, Diploma-qualified educator ready to take that step, we will support you as you grow into it.
You will need
- A completed Diploma of Early Childhood Education, or to be working towards your Bachelor.
- A current Blue Card.
- Up to date First Aid and CPR certificates.
About us There’s no corporate head office and no rigid rules. We’re small, family-owned and fiercely protective of our educators. We respect your passion for quality care, listen to your ideas and support you whenever you need it.
You’ll join a small team of educators at every stage of their careers, from recent graduates to those who’ve worked in early childhood for decades. Everyone knows everyone, nobody is left to sort things out alone, and once educators join us, they stay.
