CGC Recruitment is seeking a Lighting Engineer to join the Perth building services team of a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.

This opportunity will suit someone who combines technical design skills with a creative approach to lighting, and enjoys collaborating with architects and engineering professionals.

The role

As part of the building services team, you will contribute to lighting design from concept through to detailed documentation, balancing aesthetics, functionality, visual comfort and energy efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include

- Developing lighting designs, layouts and specifications
- Undertaking lighting calculations and modelling
- Preparing technical reports and design documentation
- Coordinating with architects and other engineering disciplines
- Contributing to client discussions and project meetings




- Designing in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and project requirements

About you

We are interested in hearing from candidates with:

- Experience in lighting design within a building services consultancy or a similar environment
- A relevant qualification in engineering, lighting design or a related discipline
- Experience using lighting calculation and modelling software, such as AGi32, DIALux or equivalent
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and energy efficiency requirements
- Solid communication skills and a collaborative approach
- An eye for detail and an interest in how lighting shapes the built environment
