We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance function, people and performance across our manufacturing operation.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring our machinery, plant and equipment are maintained to the highest standard, supporting maximum plant availability and keeping our operation running safely and efficiently.

The role

As Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead the overall maintenance operation, managing people, performance, resources and financial control across the department.

You’ll be responsible for

- Leading and developing the maintenance team across multiple shifts
- Overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance programs
- Managing breakdown response and minimising production downtime
- Ensuring planned maintenance is completed effectively and on schedule
- Monitoring maintenance performance, including PM completion, downtime and MTTR
- Working closely with Operations and Production to ensure maximum plant availability
- Managing maintenance labour resources, overtime and shift coverage
- Managing maintenance budgets, contractor costs and inventory
- Leading and supporting site safety and compliance requirements
- Managing external contractors, service providers and equipment suppliers
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance
- Supporting training, skills development and technical capability across the maintenance team
- Working closely with Engineering, Production, Operations, QA and HR to achieve site objectives

What You Bring You’ll be an experienced maintenance leader with a strong technical background and a proven ability to lead people and maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You’ll ideally have

- 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance or engineering leadership/management role
- Proven experience managing maintenance operations and teams within FMCG, food or meat manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of preventative and corrective maintenance strategies
- Experience managing plant and equipment in a high-volume production environment
- Experience using CMMS platforms such as MEX or SAP for work orders, preventative maintenance and asset tracking
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, overtime, contractors and maintenance expenditure
- Strong understanding of WHS, Permit-to-Work, LOTO, Hot Work, working at heights, RAMS and incident investigations
- Excellent leadership, communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Experience leading teams across multiple shifts
- Strong contractor and supplier management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to maintenance and operational challenges
