Lead enterprise data governance, AI policy and strategy in a senior 3–6-month leadership role in Adelaide now.Your new companyI am partnering with a large, complex department to recruit a Manager, Data Governance & Strategy for a 3-to-6-month role. This senior opportunity suits an experienced leader with strong expertise across data governance, AI governance, strategy and policy. You will work closely with senior executives and key internal and external stakeholders.
Your new roleAs Manager, Data Governance & Strategy, you will provide strategic leadership across enterprise data and AI governance, supporting the development and implementation of contemporary governance frameworks, policy and strategy.
You will provide advice on complex and sensitive matters, oversee governance priorities and support the delivery of key strategic projects. You will also build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, lead a specialist team and strengthen governance practices across a complex operating environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Significant experience in data governance and/or AI governance
- Strong strategic leadership and senior management experience
- Experience developing or implementing governance frameworks and strategy
- Strong policy, risk management and strategic advisory capability
- Experience leading complex programs, projects and specialist teams
- Strong executive stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Relevant qualifications in data, governance, management or AI
- Immediately available to commence and commit for the duration of the contract
- The successful candidate must be willing for Hays to run a national police clearance prior to commencing in the role
