Casual MC Driver | All-Rounder / Relief Driver

We are looking for a reliable, flexible MC Driver to join us as a casual all-rounder, filling in whenever our regular drivers are on leave or unwell.

About the Role

- Fill in across our runs when drivers are on annual leave or off sick

- Hours vary with demand: more hours when drivers are on leave, fewer when covering sick days

- You will need to be available all days of the week, as we may call on you at short notice
- A great fit if you want adaptable work and a variety of runs

Key Responsibilities

- Safely drive allocated prime movers and trailers across a range of runs and rosters

- Deliver freight on time and in full

- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects promptly

- Load, restrain and secure freight correctly, in line with the Load Restraint Guide

- Manage fatigue, work diaries and driving hours in line with Heavy Vehicle National Law





- Complete delivery paperwork and records accurately

- Keep operations and customers updated on delays, incidents or changes

- Follow all WHS and Chain of Responsibility obligations

To be successful in your application you will need:

- At least 3 years Heavy Vehicle experience

- Current MC licence

- AFM and/or BFM Certificate

- Roadranger experience (essential)

- Experience correctly restraining loads

- Checkable references

- Availability all days of the week

- Flexible, adaptable and happy to take on different runs and start times

- Great attitude and presentation

- Reliable and accountable

- Clear communicator with both customers and operations

- Comfortable with night and early-morning driving

- Ability to supply a current drivers licence history report (within 30 days)

- Agreement to carry out a National Police Criminal Check (within 30 days)

- Willingness to undergo a Fit to Drive medical (within 30 days)

- Safety boots and a smartphone

Preferred (but not essential)

- AFM experience

- Interstate line haul experience

- Forklift licence

- Experience with electronic work diaries
