MPC Solutions Recruitment is seeking experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitters for an immediate start to join our valued Gold mining client in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established maintenance team supporting a busy gold processing operation, with ongoing work and the potential to transition into a permanent position after an initial 3-month period.

We are looking for reliable, safety-focused tradespeople who have hands-on experience maintaining mineral processing equipment and can confidently undertake preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and shutdown activities.

- Pay Rate: $70–$85 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience.
- Roster: 8/6
- FIFO: Flights from Perth.
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Employment: Initial 3-month contract with potential to transition to permanent employment.
- Supportive maintenance and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs across gold processing plant equipment.
- Maintain and repair jaw and cone crushers, vibrating screens, conveyors, mills, pumps, valves and associated pipework.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repairs to minimise plant downtime.
- Assist with scheduled shutdowns, equipment inspections and major maintenance activities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot ore sorting and associated material-handling systems where required.
- Perform equipment isolations and comply with site safety procedures.




- Work closely with maintenance supervisors and production teams to improve equipment reliability and plant availability.
- Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and workmanship.

Essential Requirements
- Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification – essential.
- Previous fixed plant maintenance experience within mineral fixed plant processing facility.
- Strong experience working on crushers, conveyors, screens, mills, pumps and associated equipment.
- Current manual C Class driver's licence.
- Sound understanding of mechanical fault finding, breakdown maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of isolation procedures, permit-to-work systems and workplace safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
- Full Australian working rights – essential.
