We'll teach you the industrial refrigeration side. You bring your mechanical skills, practical experience and willingness to learn.

Industrial refrigeration involves large screw compressors, pumps, pressure systems, pipework, valves, oil systems, heat exchangers and sophisticated industrial machinery.

Much of our work is mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, overhauls, repairs and servicing. You'll develop specialised skills while working alongside experienced technicians who know these systems inside out.

It's an opportunity to build a new skill set in a specialised industry where good mechanical people are genuinely valued.

What will you be doing?

No two days are necessarily the same. Your work will include:

- Maintaining, servicing and repairing large industrial machinery and refrigeration plant.

- Working on screw compressors, pumps, valves, pipework, heat exchangers and associated mechanical equipment.

- Assisting with compressor overhauls, equipment replacement and plant upgrades.

- Diagnosing mechanical faults and developing practical solutions to keep equipment operating reliably.

- Carrying out preventative maintenance and responding to equipment issues at customer sites.

- Learning how industrial refrigeration systems operate, including ammonia and CO₂ systems.

- Working with experienced technicians and progressively taking on more responsibility as your skills develop.

You'll work across a range of industrial sites, including food manufacturing and cold-storage facilities,



rather than being confined to one factory or workshop.

Who we're looking for

You might be exactly who we're looking for if you're a:

- Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter.

- Industrial Maintenance Technician.

- Boilermaker or Fabricator with strong mechanical aptitude.

- Technician experienced with compressors, pumps, rotating equipment or industrial plant.

- Mechanically minded tradesperson looking to move into a specialised technical field.

You don't need to tick every box. We are particularly interested in people who understand machinery, enjoy troubleshooting and take pride in doing a job properly.

What matters most to us:

- Solid mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.

- An interest in understanding how complex machinery and industrial systems work.

- A safety-first attitude and willingness to learn.

- Reliability, initiative and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

- Good communication skills and a professional approach when working at customer sites.

- A current driver's licence.

Previous refrigeration or ammonia experience is an advantage, but it is not essential.

What about qualifications and training?

We understand that moving into a new trade takes time.

If you have a suitable mechanical background, we'll work with you to develop the additional refrigeration knowledge and competencies required for the role.

You'll receive hands-on training with experienced technicians, exposure to industrial refrigeration equipment and the opportunity to build a long-term career in a specialised field.

The specific training pathway will depend on your existing qualifications and experience. Any required refrigeration qualifications,



licences and competencies will be addressed as part of your development.
