About the role

Dr Mallikarachichi's Offices is seeking a diligent individual to support upcoming roster changes. This casual position involves maintaining excellent administrative work and overseeing patient management, while providing updates to doctors. You will perform daily tasks and work collaboratively with other team members in a friendly and supportive work environment.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting patients, gathering and entering details
- Using the online booking system, to coordinate patient appointments and monitor bookings
- Handling all incoming calls and assisting patients with their enquiries
- Actioning calls and emails promptly
- Facilitating organisation of hospital admissions and retrieving reports from other clinics
- Managing patient billing and keeping track of receipts
- Writing, proofreading and sending correspondence and discharge letters via Medical Objects
- Prioritising tasks to ensure timely and urgent care
- Managing daily tasks in the diary for accurate handovers
- Collaborating with other staff through open communication

About you

- A mature work ethic and reliability
- Basic computer knowledge and skills




- Previous experience with Shexie or Medical Objects is preferred
- Previous work experience in a medical reception setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Full Australian work rights
- Living within the area
- Proactive and fast learner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Responsible and ability to take initiative
