We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing excellent patient service. Experience in medical is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally
- Answer incoming phone calls and manage appointment bookings
- Process patient billing, Medicare claims, and private payments
- Manage patient records using Best Practice software
- Liaise with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Maintain a clean and organized reception and waiting area
- Perform general administrative tasks as required





Requirements

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist in a general practice or specialist clinic is desired but not essential
- Proficiency in Best Practice software is desire but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Robust organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Understanding of Medicare billing and medical terminology desired but not essential
- Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude is essential
- Availability to work flexible hours, including covering staff leave at short notice

Job Type: Casual Pay: $34.00 – $38.00 per hour
