We run a small fleet of Kenworth prime movers with refrigerated and flat top trailers. We need a reliable mobile heavy diesel mechanic to keep the fleet on the road. The work is part time or casual, performed from a mobile vehicle and on call for breakdowns, with flexible hours.

What you'll do

- Service and maintain our Kenworth prime movers on schedule
- Diagnose and repair engine, driveline, electrical, air brake and hydraulic faults
- Maintain refrigerated and flat top trailers, including brakes, suspension, lights, couplings and landing legs
- Do pre-registration and roadworthy inspections and keep the fleet compliant
- Attend breakdowns when needed.
- Keep explicit service records and flag upcoming maintenance and parts needs

What we're looking for
- Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel / Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical (Cert III or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with Kenworth trucks (Cummins / CAT engines a plus)
- Experience with trailer maintenance; experience with fridge units (Thermo King / Carrier) is a bonus.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
