Purpose of the Position The Planning Superintendent is responsible for owning and delivering mine planning to ensure secure, achievable and optimised production aligned to operational and strategic objectives. The role leads the planning function and ensures site and department targets are met in a safe, efficient manner, in accordance with company standards and in full compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrate full compliance with OHS and Environmental Management System standards by participating in initiatives, investigations, training and audits, and ensuring all planning activities meet safety, statutory and organisational requirements
- Own delivery of short to medium-term mine plans,



ensuring alignment to life of mine strategy and production targets
- Integrate ventilation, pastefill, access, geotechnical and infrastructure constraints into executable schedules
- Lead the weekly, monthly and quarterly planning cycles
- Maintain schedule integrity by monitoring performance, identifying risks and adjusting plans to reflect operational realities
- Conduct and oversee scenario analysis, trade-off studies and risk assessments to support decision-making
- Provide leadership, direction and accountability to the Planning Engineer and Senior Mine Planning Engineer, ensuring quality, consistency and timeliness of outputs
- Collaborate closely with Mining, Technical Services and operational teams, along with external consultants and contractors, to ensure plans are practical, achievable and aligned to execution

The Candidate

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mining) or a related discipline
- 8+ years' experience in underground mine planning, scheduling and sequencing
- 3 years in a planning leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of how ventilation, pastefill and geotechnical constraints shape a mine schedule
- Proficiency with advanced mine planning systems and software
- Working knowledge of statutory and safety requirements in underground mining
