TSS are seeking an experienced Polyurethane CNC Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing operation based in Bayswater.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of polyurethane materials and experience operating CNC machinery to manufacture and finish high-quality industrial components used within the mining and resources sector.

The ideal candidate will combine practical knowledge of polyurethane processing with the technical ability to operate CNC equipment, ensuring finished products meet strict quality standards and engineering specifications.

The position will initially commence on a contract basis, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time, permanent role for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC machinery to machine, profile and finish polyurethane components to specified dimensions.
- Apply knowledge of polyurethane properties, including hardness, wear resistance, flexibility and curing behaviour.
- Adjust machine settings, tooling and cutting parameters to achieve quality finishes and dimensional accuracy.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot material, machining and finishing defects.
- Monitor production quality and maintain consistent manufacturing standards.
- Follow workshop safety procedures and contribute to an efficient production environment.





Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or engineering workplace.
- A sound understanding of polyurethane materials and their application in industrial manufacturing.
- Experience machining or finishing polyurethane-coated components.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and equipment operation.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Experience working with conveyor components, rollers, pulleys or other mining-related equipment will be highly regarded.
