Project Quality Manager
Bielby is experiencing a period of sustained growth, supported by a strong pipeline of major infrastructure opportunities and continued expansion into new regions. Building on over 40 years of successful major project delivery, we are seeking an accomplished Quality Manager to join our team in NSW and be part of the first major infrastructure project win in NSW.
Bielby has been awarded the Kempsey-Armidale Road Restoration Project (K2A) by Armidale Regional Council, marking our first major award since establishing a permanent NSW presence in early 2026. It also represents our largest infrastructure restoration and recovery contract to date, a key pillar of Bielby’s growth and diversification strategy.
The project will restore 43 kilometres of Kempsey-Armidale Road and a five-kilometre section of Lower Creek Road following damage caused by the 2019 bushfires and subsequent flood events in 2020 and 2022. Once complete, the works will help reconnect communities, support regional industries and improve the resilience of an important transport corridor linking Armidale with the NSW coast.
The role will initially be based in Sydney during design, before mobilising to the regional site in early 2027. Reporting to the Project Director, you will oversee the quality construction processes to ensure that the project achieves the required industry and client quality standards
What You'll Do
- Prepare and administer the Quality Management Plan in accordance with the BMS (Bielby Management System), contract requirements, and applicable legislation
- Monitor and manage all project quality requirements to minimize rework and ensure full compliance
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for all quality-related matters for the client, project team, and subcontractors
- Coach and develop all project staff and subcontractors on quality requirements and processes
- Be proactive in the continuous improvement of the Bielby Management System and provide advice to the Project Manager to continuously improve the project's quality
What You'll Bring
- Extensive experience in a similar role on a medium to large infrastructure project
- Expertise in quality standards, processes, and procedures specific to civil construction
- A solid understanding of relevant legislative
- Deep knowledge of quality management plans and systems
- Skilled in conducting quality investigations in accordance with established procedures
- Ability to influence others and work collaboratively with the project team to drive compliance and improvement.
