We are seeking an experienced trade qualified Maintenance Fitter to join a well established manufacturing operation based in Preston. This is a genuine hands on maintenance role working across production machinery, breakdowns, preventative maintenance and machine setting.

The Role

- Set, adjust and change production machinery to suit different products and production requirements
- Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, motors and rotating equipment
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems and associated components
- Work closely with production operators to complete machine adjustments, changeovers and repairs while minimising downtime




- Complete mechanical breakdown repairs across production machinery and plant equipment
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections and servicing
- Fault find mechanical issues and identify the root cause of equipment failures

About You

- Australian recognised Fitter and Turner, Mechanical Fitter or equivalent trade qualification
- Proven experience setting, adjusting and changing over production machinery
- Demonstrated experience working as a Maintenance Fitter within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong breakdown maintenance and mechanical fault finding experience
- Solid preventative maintenance experience across mechanical plant and equipment
- Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Able and willing to work a rotating day, afternoon and night shift roster
