About the role

We are seeking 2 x Quality Leads to join our Quality team, with opportunities available on Afternoon Shift (2:05pm - 10:05pm) and Night Shift (10:05pm - 6:05am).

Reporting to the Quality & Regulatory Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet quality, food safety and regulatory standards. Working closely with Production and other stakeholders, you will lead quality activities on shift, support compliance requirements, manage non-conformances, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and provide day-to-day leadership to Quality Officers while supporting quality-related decision making across the site.

Key responsibilities

- Shift Supervision
- Assign and prioritise tasks for the team on shift, ensuring all work is completed accurately and on time.
- Provide support to the team regarding any quality issues during your shift and making decisions to stop production or segregate defective products and escalate to Site Leadership team.




- Provide on-the-job guidance and coaching on quality processes and standards.
- Act as the key point of contact between the Quality team and other departments across the business.

- Product Inspection, Testing and Product Release

- Conduct inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate microbiological testing with external laboratories and ensure timely receipt of results to support product release.
- Ensure products conform to regulatory, safety and quality standards before release.

- Quality Systems, Compliance and Continuous Improvement

- Maintain quality control procedures, quality systems, testing records and compliance documentation.
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and identify potential issues early.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, BRCGS and customer requirements.
- Investigate non-conformances, implement corrective and preventive actions, and support customer complaint investigations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support cross-functional teams in resolving quality issues.
- Foster a strong food safety and quality culture through coaching, mentoring and stakeholder engagement.

About you

- Proven experience in a similar Quality role
- Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality or a related discipline
- Solid knowledge of HACCP, GMP, BRCGS and food safety requirements
- Experience managing non-conformances, root cause investigations and quality audits
- Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring capabilities
- Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
