About Us

Reutech Australia designs and supports advanced geotechnical monitoring and radar systems for open-cut and underground mining operations, providing real-time slope stability data to keep mine sites safe. We're looking for a Radar Technician to join our Perth-based team on a full time, ongoing basis, covering both the network/systems side of our radar deployments and the servicing and maintenance of our MSR slope stability radar fleet.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for the field servicing, maintenance and calibration of our MSR radar systems deployed across client mine sites, alongside the network configuration and remote support work that keeps those systems operating at full uptime.

Remuneration

We offer an annual salary of $90,000-$100,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with your qualifications and work experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintain the fleet of equipment to operate optimally with emphasis on uptime and data availability, this is both onsite commissioning and via remote access

· Manage all VPN and remote access systems

· Remote monitoring and reporting of systems health via custom dashboards and databases.

· Software installs, upgrades and integration to client systems and networks, both user software as well as server side and machine firmware

· Research, analyse, evaluate, and monitor client network infrastructure to ensure the network is configured to operate at best performance when radar systems are deployed

· Assemble Radar systems and perform acceptance tests as per the documents to ensure optimal performance

· Providing network and system support to clients remotely (phone calls, team viewer, video calls, and email.

· Assessing and providing recommendations to clients on hardware, operating systems,



and network configuration for deployment of Reutech systems

· Configuring and calibrating long range Wi-Fi antennas, switches, and routers as per site requirements

· Recommend improvements to R&D; on the network, software, and hardware systems to enhance the overall system improvements and reduce failure points

· Conduct Engineering change proposals (ECP) as per the requirements using released notes by OEM

· Evaluating new technologies to be incorporated with the radar system and documenting the findings

· Creating, updating and maintaining technical documents for network modifications, inventory, and maintenance instructions

Skills and Experience Required

· Proficient in installing, configuring, hardening, and upgrading enterprise Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL) across physical servers and edge devices

· Skilled in deploying and optimising Starlink (Gen 2 / Gen 3) hardware, implementing DC-DC power bypasses, configuring bypass modes, and routing traffic to downstream devices

· Hands-on experience configuring and managing Ubiquiti UniFi / UISP ecosystems, including EdgeRouters, network switches, and high-capacity wireless bridges

· Deploying ZeroTier virtual networks to create secure, encrypted peer-to-peer connections across the internet

· Demonstrated experience servicing or maintaining field-deployed electronic or radar equipment

· Solid fault-finding and diagnostic skills across hardware, software and network layers

· Willingness and ability to travel to remote mine sites, including working outdoors in field conditions

· Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
