Ranger - Night shift Lower North ShoreYour New CompanyA well-regarded metropolitan council is seeking an experienced Ranger to join its Regulatory Services team on a temporary contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a proactive compliance team, assisting with the delivery of after-hours regulatory and community safety services across a diverse local government area.Your Recent RoleWorking as part of the night shift team, you will be responsible for investigating complaints, conducting patrols, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and council policies.Your duties will include:

- Responding to customer requests and community complaints
- Undertaking patrols across public spaces and council-managed areas
- Investigating matters relating to noise, parking, illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles and public nuisance offences
- Issuing warnings, notices and infringement penalties where appropriate
- Gathering evidence and preparing reports
- Liaising with residents, businesses, emergency services and other stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate records and case notes




- Assisting with after-hours incidents and emergency response activities

What You'll Need to Succeed

- Previous experience as a Ranger, Parking Officer, Compliance Officer or similar regulatory role
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement processes
- Strong conflict resolution and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Current Class C Driver Licence
- Availability to work a night shift roster
