Sun People is a well established solar and battery business with the resources and know-how to back its people. We need an experienced SAA accredited electrician and proven leader to head up our install side.

The role /n

You’ll run our installation division and be the senior technical authority in the business.

/n

You’ll lead and develop our installers, own scheduling and job allocation with our operations team, and take on the complex, higher-end work escalated to you. You make the calls on installs, backed by a robust technical team and experienced peers.

The role is hands-on where it matters (complex installs, commissioning, audits and troubleshooting) and leadership-focused the rest of the time.

Responsibilities /n

/n

- Lead, coach and hold accountable our installation teams and team leaders

/n

- Own install throughput: scheduling, crew allocation and resource planning with operations

/n

- Be the technical escalation point for complex solar, battery and commercial systems

/n

- Review designs and sign off on non-standard installations

/n

- Carry out high value inspections and quality audits, and reduce rework

/n

- Maintain compliance with electrical, solar and battery standards

/n

- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and efficiency

About you /n

/n





- 5+ years installing solar and batteries, with experience across multiple inverter and battery platforms (e.g. Sigenergy, Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, Sungrow)

/n

- Proven experience leading an installation team, ideally as an installation or crew manager

/n

- Strong technical depth in complex, commercial and larger systems

/n

- Clear communicator with the office, customers and the crew

/n

- Quality-focused, reliable and self-managing

/n

Licences /n

/n

- SAA Accreditation, NSW Electrical Licence, White Card, manual driver’s licence, working at heights (all required)

/n

- Asbestos awareness and EWP (desirable)

/n
