Job Description

You'll be working with people with a range of mental and physical disabilities — supporting them to engage with their community, grow their independence, and live a life they value. Deliver community access support — from recreational outings to everyday appointments or assisting clients around their home.

Help clients build confidence navigating public spaces and social settings. Work with people living with a range of mental health and physical disabilities. Encourage life skills development, goal setting, and a positive daily routine. Provide emotional support, companionship, and transport.

Key responsibilities /n

- Deliver community access support — from recreational outings to everyday appointments or assisting clients around their home

- Help clients build confidence navigating public spaces and social settings

- Encourage life skills development, goal setting, and a positive daily routine

- Provide emotional support, companionship, and transport

- Assess clients' needs and plan, develop and implement educational, training and support programs

/n

- Identify specific challenges through client interviews and tailor support to meet individual needs

/n

- Engage with families, welfare agencies,



government organisations and private businesses to identify and address pressing community issues

/n

- Provide counselling and emotional support to help clients navigate personal difficulties

/n

- Prepare submissions for funding and resources, as well as reports for government bodies and other agencies

/n

About you /n

/n

- Passionate about inclusion, empowerment, and community participation

/n

- Experience in disability, mental health, or youth support is highly regarded

/n

- Great interpersonal skills and professional boundaries

/n

- Comfortable with personal support and adaptable routines

/n

- Confident in working with clients from diverse and socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds

/n

- Driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and confident with technology

/n

- First Aid & CPR

/n

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

/n

- Working with Children Check

/n

- NSW Police Check

/n

- National Police Check (or NSW Police Check for residents)

/n

- Bachelor's degree in community services, education, sociology, etc

/n

- 3 years relevant experience or willing to learn

/n
