Looking for your next move in insurance claims?We’re working with a well-established specialist claims and legal services business that is continuing to grow its Melbourne team and is looking to bring on multiple Liability Claims Consultants.

This is a great opportunity for either a law-qualified candidate looking to build their career in insurance claims or an experienced liability claims qualified wanting to work on more complex matters and take the next step in their career.
You’ll be joining an established team managing claims on behalf of major insurers, with exposure to technically challenging work, a supportive environment and genuine opportunities to progress.
Who are we looking for?We’re open to candidates coming from two backgrounds:

- Law graduates with an LLB and at least two years of post-graduate experience, ideally within insurance, litigation or dispute resolution.
- Experienced liability claims professionals with a strong understanding of liability assessment, policy coverage and claims management. A law degree isn't essential for candidates with the right experience.

Experience across any of the following would be highly regarded:

- Public Liability / General Liability
- Professional Indemnity
- Complex third-party claims




- Personal injury and liability litigation
- Coverage disputes and recoveries

What's involved?
- Managing your own portfolio of claims from notification through to settlement.
- Assessing liability, indemnity, policy coverage and financial exposure.
- Developing claims strategies and negotiating commercial outcomes.
- Working closely with insurers, brokers, insureds, solicitors and other external stakeholders.
- Reviewing reserves and preparing claims reports and recommendations.
- Managing disputes and identifying recovery opportunities where appropriate.
