Site Manager

About the Role

You will run the in office delivery of a townhouse development from site establishment through to handover. Your judgement on safety, sequencing, quality, and cost will determine whether each stage and each townhouse is completed on time. This role is well supported by a strong project team who have and will continue to deliver similar projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver to the agreed programme, quality standard, and budget, with practical completion achieved and handover ready.
- Manage staging across the development, so groups of townhouses move through each phase in the right order and trades flow from one dwelling to the next without idle time.
- Plan daily and weekly work schedules, coordinating trades, materials deliveries, and inspections.
- Maintain a safe site by completing inductions, enforcing safe work methods, closing out hazards, and reporting incidents the same day.
- Control costs by documenting variations, confirming pricing and approval, and stopping unapproved work before it starts.
- Coordinate shared elements such as civil works, services, driveways, common areas, and landscaping alongside the individual dwellings.
- Keep the Construction Manager, consultants,



and clients informed of progress, risks, and decisions needed.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

- Proven site leadership on multi-dwelling or townhouse residential construction, from groundworks through to handover.
- Current construction induction (White Card) and working knowledge of WHS duties on a building site.
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and programmes and turn them into a clear daily work sequence.
- Experience coordinating trades across multiple dwellings, signing off stage quality, and closing defects before practical completion.
- Direct, respectful communication with trades, clients, and consultants when programme or cost is at risk.
- Current driver’s licence and availability to be on site for the full build programme.
