The COPILOT Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) role in South Western Sydney Local Health District delivers high‑quality geriatric assessments and care within the community, including home visits and coordination with nursing and allied health teams.

The VMO provides comprehensive care for older people in their homes or in nursing homes to avoid unnecessary hospital transfers, and participates in an on‑call roster with solid clinical leadership and communication skills.
