External Sales Representative – Motors & Drives

Brisbane & Queensland Region - Negotiable base dependant on experience, plus super, car allowance and bonuses.

A leading global manufacturer in motors, drives, and rotating equipment is expanding its Queensland sales team and seeking a motivated External Sales Representative. This role is central to succession planning, with long‑standing customer relationships ready to be handed over as senior team members transition toward retirement.

About the Role

You’ll manage an established portfolio of motor customers across Brisbane while actively developing new business with OEMs and industrial end‑users. The role is hands‑on, relationship‑driven, and suited to someone who enjoys credible technical conversations with engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders.

The position sits within a revenue‑focused sales structure, reporting directly to the State Manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of motor customers across Brisbane and surrounding regions

- Develop new business with OEMs in pumping, crushing, screening, oil & gas, and mining





- Build long‑term relationships with end‑users including councils and water authorities

- Conduct regular customer visits and territory planning

- Provide technical product guidance across motors, drives, gearboxes, and rotating equipment

- Drive revenue growth through proactive sales activity and territory expansion

What You Bring

- Electrical trade qualification or engineering background (preferred)

- Experience with rotating equipment — motors, drives, gearboxes

- Solid technical curiosity and willingness to ask questions

- Self‑sufficient sales approach with the ability to close deals independently

- Comfortable working collaboratively with management and internal technical teams
