We are currently seeking Catering Assistants to support ourkitchen and catering teams across our residential aged care homes.

About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will play an important role insupporting the health, wellbeing and dining experience of our residents throughthe preparation, presentation and service of nutritious meals.

Working collaboratively with the Cook, General Manager andwider care team, you will assist with meal preparation, food service, kitchencleaning and maintaining hygiene standards. You will help create a welcomingdining environment that promotes residents' comfort, dignity and enjoymentwhile ensuring all food safety and infection control requirements are met.

Our employees are employed under the St Basil's NSW/ACTEnterprise Agreement 2024, with Catering Assistants generally classified asCatering Services Level 3, earning up to $30.28 base per hour.

About You

You are passionate about supporting older people andunderstand the important role that quality food and hospitality services playin residents' wellbeing and quality of life.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstratedexperience in food preparation and catering services, ideally within agedcare, healthcare or a large-scale catering setting
- Understandingof infection control, food safety and cleaning standards
- Knowledgeof manual handling practices and general equipment maintenance
- Strongverbal communication and customer service skills




- Abilityto build positive relationships with residents, families, staff andvisitors
- Demonstratedproblem-solving and prioritisation skills
- Abilityto work collaboratively within a team environment while also workingindependently
- Acompassionate and respectful approach when interacting with older people
- Australianwork rights
- NDISWorker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
