If transmission line design is your thing, and you want to stay close to the engineering rather than drift into pure project management, this is worth a look.
I’m working with a major Australian infrastructure business that is growing its transmission line design capability in Sydney. They’re interested in speaking with engineers across a range of experience levels, from solid mid-level designers through to senior and principal-level people.
The common thread is simple: you know transmission lines, and you want to work on real projects.
You might come from a consultancy, network, contractor or EPC environment. You may be strongest in line design, tower and structural design, or foundations. What matters most is that you understand how transmission infrastructure is actually designed and delivered.
You could be working across:
- PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower and PLS-Pole
- Route, clearance and constructability assessments
- Tower and structural design
- Transmission line foundations
- Stringing charts,
plan and profile drawings and design documentation
- Technical input into tenders and live projects
- Construction support and resolution of design queries
- Coordination with geotechnical, civil, structural and project delivery teams
The work spans major HV and EHV transmission infrastructure, with exposure to both tender-stage engineering and projects moving through detailed design and construction.
This would particularly suit someone who enjoys being technically involved and wants to work somewhere their engineering judgement actually influences the way projects are delivered.
You don’t need to tick every box.
If your background is in transmission line design, towers/structures or transmission foundations , I’d like to hear from you.
Sydney-based (other cities also considered) role with a solid pipeline of transmission work and genuine scope to grow with the team.
