About the role

Naldham House is seeking Casual Section Waiters to join our hospitality team in Brisbane. This is a casual position based in Brisbane QLD 4000, offering flexible working arrangements ideal for those seeking part-time or variable hours in a dynamic hospitality environment. As a Section Waiter, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of service that define Naldham House and directly contributes to guest satisfaction and retention.

Key responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and seat them at their assigned tables in accordance with restaurant procedures

- Present menus and provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding food and beverage offerings

- Take accurate food and beverage orders whilst attending to guest requirements and special requests

- Communicate orders clearly to kitchen and bar staff to ensure prompt and accurate service

- Serve food and beverages in a timely and skilled manner, adhering to food safety and presentation standards

- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and respond promptly to any concerns or requests

- Clear tables efficiently and reset them for subsequent guests

- Maintain a clean and hygienic work station and dining areas at all times

- Process payments and operate point-of-sale systems with accuracy

- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth service delivery during peak service times





- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar hospitality service role, preferably in a full-service restaurant environment

- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, menu items and wine pairings

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with guests and colleagues

- Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously

- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills

- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods whilst maintaining composure and energy

- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Current knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with relevant certifications preferred

- Positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to support team objectives
