Insurance Building Estimator
Location: Brisbane Inner City, East Brisbane or Ipswich
Coverage: Bayside, Ipswich and Toowoomba
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Role

An established insurance building and property repairs business is looking for an experienced Insurance Building Estimator to service the Brisbane, Bayside, Ipswich and Toowoomba regions.

You will complete site inspections, damage assessments, scopes of work and accurate repair estimates across residential and commercial insurance claims.

The position requires someone who can work efficiently across a high-volume claims environment while meeting insurer and client-specific KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed scopes of work and repair estimates
- Complete site-based and desktop assessments
- Estimate accurately from photographs, documentation and inspection information
- Manage high-volume insurance claims
- Meet insurer KPIs, SLAs and turnaround requirements
- Assist with CAT event claims
- Manage variations and changes to scope
- Liaise with policyholders, insurers, supervisors and trades
- Handle complex claims where required
- Maintain accurate notes, reports and supporting documentation
- Attend residential and commercial insurance claim sites




- Assess damage associated with storm, flood, hail, escape of liquid and other insured events

Experience Required

- Previous insurance building estimating or assessing experience
- Experience across storm, flood and hail claims
- CAT event and high-volume claims experience
- Demonstrated experience working to insurer or client KPIs
- Solid knowledge of building repairs and construction methodology
- Strong scoping and estimating capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage a large workload effectively
- Highly Regarded
- Prime experience
- Complex claims experience
- Large-loss exposure
- Trade or building qualifications
- Residential and commercial insurance experience

Location

Candidates based around Brisbane inner city, East Brisbane, Bayside or Ipswich will be ideally positioned to service the territory, which includes Bayside, Ipswich and Toowoomba.
