Coolah

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, tech-savvy Farm Hand to join the team at 'Yattendon', a 4,000-acre enterprise operating near Coolah, NSW. Working alongside an experienced and supportive Farm Manager, you will play a hands-on, integral role in driving daily livestock handling, intensive pasture production, lucerne and oat cropping, and comprehensive farm infrastructure maintenance to support our high-performing agricultural operations.
Your duties will encompass low-stress stock handling using side-by-side buggies and working dogs while managing a livestock program comprising 400 Angus breeders (with select heifers joined to Wagyu bulls) and 1,500 Merino ewes (joined for prime lamb production), along with operating cattle crush setups and sheep handlers equipped with integrated weigh scales and EID readers. Operating across annual sales targets—including approximately 2,000 crossbred and Merino prime lambs, 380-400 head of cattle (spanning feeder steers, PTIC heifers, and cull cows), and 9,500 kg of wool from bi-annual shearing—you will systematically collect and monitor livestock data such as daily weight gains and NLIS records.
On the cropping side, you will operate modern tractor setups equipped with GPS auto-steer, A-B line guidance, and rate-controlled spray and sowing implements to establish oats, lucerne, and high-yielding finish pastures.
Additionally, you will fully integrate modern digital management systems into your daily routine by checking Trello task boards each morning to organise workflow, synchronizing crush-side weigh sessions and treatments into StockMate and AgriWebb,

and continuously monitoring automated water network sensors via Farmbot to ensure optimal livestock welfare and operational efficiency.
The Employer
Mann Pastoral Co is a forward-thinking, family-owned agricultural enterprise dedicated to high standards of stock welfare, land care, and digital efficiency. The business operates with clear production targets and structured routines, fostering a safe, team-oriented, and rewarding working environment.

The Offer
This full-time position offers a competitive remuneration package tailored to your level of experience. An allowance for town accommodation is provided in Coolah (10 minutes from the property), offering comfortable living suitable for individuals, couples, or young families.
In addition to base salary and housing support, employees receive a farm side-by-side vehicle for daily duties, all necessary PPE, a 2-way radio, and eligibility for an annual performance bonus tied to safe work practices, accurate data recording, and achieving seasonal farm targets.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an energetic, tech-forward, and reliable team player—ideal for a younger farm hand or a young family looking to settle close to town. The successful candidate will possess:

- Demonstrated practical experience with sheep and cattle (mustering, drafting, marking, drenching).
- Strong low-stress stock handling skills using side-by-side buggies and working dogs.
- Proficiency in a cattle crush and sheep handler equipped with weigh scales and EID readers.
- Comfort and enthusiasm for using farm apps and modern tech (Trello, StockMate, AgriWebb Farmbot).
