About the role

Avant Law is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our Brisbane team on a full time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established legal support professional to work alongside leading medico-legal solicitors, supporting a diverse range of medical indemnity matters in a collaborative and professional environment.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day management of legal matters, ensuring documentation is accurate, deadlines are met and the practice operates efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Provide paralegal and administrative support to solicitors across a range of medico-legal matters.
• Draft, prepare and format legal documents, briefs, correspondence, summaries and chronologies.
• Maintain legal files, coordinate court filings and liaise with courts, tribunals, witnesses and experts.
• Monitor deadlines and manage competing priorities to support the progression of legal matters.




• Assist with member advice lines, meeting coordination, invoicing and general practice administration

About you

You are an organised, proactive legal support professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy legal environment.
You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a paralegal or legal administrative role.
• Experience preparing legal documentation and maintaining legal files.
• Experience preparing briefs and chronologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Accurate and efficient typing skills, including digital dictation.
• Strong organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work independently.
