About the role

We're looking for a practical, reliable farm hand to help run a 9-acre native citrus orchard just outside Bendigo. You'll work mostly on your own, across plant care, irrigation and general farm infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

- Plant care: watering, mulching, weeding, monitoring tree health and flagging pest or disease issues

- Irrigation: running and adjusting schedules, checking lines and drippers, finding and fixing leaks, maintaining pumps and filters

- Fencing: installing, repairing and maintaining fences and gates

- Welding: general repairs and small fabrication jobs around the farm

- General farm maintenance and other duties as needed

About you

- Hands-on experience with irrigation, fencing and welding

- Current driver's licence and own transport

- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather

- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised

- Orchard or horticulture experience (nice to have)

- ChemCert or chemical handling experience (nice to have)

- Tractor and small machinery experience (nice to have)

- First aid certificate (nice to have)
