Housekeeping Manager (Full-time)

- Approx. 80,000 per annum plus 12% Superannuation

- Previous experience in a supervisor/manager role in a hotel environment

BROAD PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team.

The successful candidate will Contribute to the success and high standards of The Commodore Accommodation team by leading and coordinating housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety. This hands-on role demands flexibility, including working various shifts, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure our standards are met every day.

Along with managing staff, the successful candidate will also manage daily operations, maintain quality standards, and support a welcoming and comfortable workplace for all guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

- Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations.

- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met.





- Develop and manage housekeeping schedules and staff rosters to meet operational requirements.

- Train and support housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to performance expectations.

- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, linen and guest amenities. Arrange replenishment as required.

- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints relating to housekeeping services.

- Identify, report, and follow up on maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns.

- Ensure housekeeping equipment and storage areas are clean, organised, and in a safe condition.

- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements, safe work practices, and company policies.

- Foster a positive, productive, and customer-focused team culture.

- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of housekeeping staff as required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

- Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory, management, or senior housekeeping role.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.

- Strong organisational and time management abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
