About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to join our team at Mandurah Mazda. As Workshop Foreman, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the workshop while delivering high-quality service and repairs, manage technician, and liaise between front line and technical staff. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring our customers receive outstanding service and quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and support the workshop team to deliver a "Fix it right first time" approach, ensuring repairs are completed accurately, efficiently and to dealership and manufacture standards

- Overseeing daily workshop operation, job allocation and workflow to maximise productivity and efficiency

- Provide technical guidance, coaching and support.

- Assist in identifying and resolving complex technical issues.

- Monitor quality of work performed by technicians and apprentices, conducting quality control inspections to ensure adherence to dealership and manufacturer standards





- Ensuring repair orders and workshop documentation are completed accurately

- Work closely with Service Advisors and management to communicate repair progress, technical findings and any delays

- Manage workshop inventory, tools and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance

- Identify training needs for team members and contribute to their professional development

- Promote a safe working environment and adhere to workplace health and safety standard

What we're looking for

- Minimum 5 years' experience as a motor mechanic or automotive technician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role

- Solid knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures and diagnostic techniques

- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical matters to customers

- Sound organisational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple workshop tasks simultaneously

- Proficiency in workshop management systems and computer software for scheduling and record-keeping





- Current Australian driver's license and the ability to test drive vehicles where necessary

- Relevant automotive qualifications or certifications

- Knowledge of Mazda vehicles and services is desirable but not essential

- A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service

- Experience with Revolution (TUNE) highly regarded

- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in automotive workshops
