Summary:

Paediatric nurses work in the Healthcare and Medical industry and provide care to children and teenagers facing various health challenges. They assess and monitor patients, provide basic care, educate patients and families, collaborate with healthcare teams, maintain records and reports, and ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:
Perform initial assessments for patients, monitor vital signs, and observe behaviours, symptoms, and reactions to treatments
Provide basic care, such as feeding, bathing, changing, and administering medication or treatments as ordered by the physician
Educate patients and families on healthy nutrition, exercise, hygiene, and protected medication administration
Work with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on each patient, including medications, treatments,



and progress notes
Follow strict protocols and guidelines for ensuring patient safety and preventing the spread of infection
Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements related to healthcare, such as HIPAA and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
Valid nursing license
Experience working with children and teenagers in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of paediatric health conditions and treatments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a rapid-paced and high-stress setting
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to healthcare.
