General Duties
Conduct daily and pre-trip inspections of transport refrigeration equipment.
Service, maintain and repair Thermo King and Carrier trailer refrigeration units.
Complete engine servicing
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults.
Inspect, test and repair 12-volt electrical systems and associated components.
Identify defects, determine repair requirements and escalate matters affecting equipment

availability or protected operation.
Maintain tools, equipment and the work area in a secure, clean and serviceable condition.
Work safely and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Skills & Experience
Trade qualification in light vehicle, heavy vehicle, diesel mechanical or a related mechanical

field.
Current driver licence.
Experience servicing and repairing transport refrigeration units, including Thermo King and/or

Carrier equipment,



is highly regarded.
Diesel engine servicing and repair experience is advantageous.
Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults.
Experience with 12-volt electrical systems is advantageous.
Experience within transport, fleet maintenance or logistics is highly regarded.
Ability to interpret instructions, follow maintenance procedures and complete accurate repair

documentation.
Solid attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills.
Reliable and punctual, with effective communication skills and the ability to work both

independently and as part of a team.
Physically capable of safely completing the manual tasks associated with the role.
