About Us

La Rustica by the lake is a busy Italian restaurant located on the beautiful Kingston Foreshore in Canberra. We pride ourselves on delivering quality food, attentive service and a welcoming dining experience for our guests.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Section Waiter to join our team and help maintain our high standards of service.

About the Role

This position is suited to someone who has previous restaurant experience and is confident managing their own section in a busy dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Confidently manage your own section and provide attentive, professional service.
Welcome guests, take orders and make food and beverage recommendations.
Maintain excellent knowledge of our menu and wine list.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
Process orders and payments accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of tables and service areas.
Work efficiently under pressure during busy lunch and dinner services.
Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.





What We’re Looking For
Minimum 1 year of experience working as a section waiter in a restaurant.
Ability to independently manage a section without constant supervision.
Solid communication and customer service skills.
Friendly, professional and well-presented manner.
Reliable, punctual and organised.
Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy services.
Availability to work evenings and weekends.
Consistent availability from now through to Christmas is essential.
