About the Role

Melbourne Structures Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable, motivated and hardworking Trade Assistant to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to develop valuable skills in the structural steel and engineering industry.

The successful candidate will assist with daily workshop operations, material handling, preparation of steel components and general support for tradespeople and production staff. Training and guidance will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
Assist tradespeople with daily workshop and production activities.
Handle, move and organise steel materials and components.
Prepare materials and tools for fabrication and assembly.
Maintain a clean, organised and secure working workplace.
Assist with loading, unloading and storing materials.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Perform general duties as required to support workshop operations.

About You

Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn.




Can follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
Is comfortable performing practical, hands-on tasks.
Has good attention to detail and an awareness of workplace safety.
Can perform the physical duties required for the position, with reasonable adjustments where applicable.

Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, warehousing, metalwork or a similar environment is an advantage but is not essential.
