About the role

Midland Stockyards is seeking an experienced and reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our team on a casual basis with consistent, steady hours. Based in Midland, WA, this role offers reliable local work without the stress and time away of FIFO. For the right candidate who shows quality workmanship and reliability, there is a genuine prospect to move into a full-time permanent position in the near future.

Key responsibilities
Carry out welding and metal fabrication work based on jobs issued by the operations team
Read and work from job sheets, drawings and specifications to produce quality finished products
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and finish
Keep the workshop clean, safe and organised, and look after tools and equipment




Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Assist with receiving deliveries, packing customer orders and general yard organisation during quieter periods

About you
Second class welder/fabricator qualification
Proven experience in welding and fabrication
Valid forklift ticket (desirable)
Valid MR (medium rigid) driver's licence (desirable)
