About the role

Stowaway is an eclectic little neighbourhood bar, just 500 metres from Freshie Beach, with a solid local following, plenty of familiar faces and a busy cocktail service.

We’re looking for an experienced bartender to join our team — someone who enjoys a lively service, making guests feel welcome and working together to keep things running smoothly.

Key responsibilities
Serve drinks and provide warm, friendly service
Work efficiently during busy, high-volume services
Keep the bar clean, organised and stocked
Help with glass polishing, running drinks and general bar duties
Support the floor team and pitch in wherever needed

About you
Previous general bar experience is essential
You’re friendly, approachable and bring valuable energy
You’re comfortable working in a busy bar




You’re a team player, happy to lend a hand
Cocktail experience is welcome but isn’t essential — we’re happy to help you build those skills
Some weekend availability is required, but you don’t need to be available every weekend

About us

We’re a fun, hands-on team who look out for each other and share the load. Floor staff help polish glasses, bartenders help run drinks, and everyone contributes to a outstanding service.

We close before 10pm most nights and before midnight on Saturdays and Sundays, so you get the atmosphere of a busy neighbourhood bar without the early-morning finishes.
