Newtons is seeking a practical, organised Transport Scheduler / Dispatcher to coordinate deliveries across our building supplies, quarry and haulage operations.
Working closely with our drivers, yards and sales teams, you’ll plan daily truck movements, respond to changing priorities and keep customers informed.
The role
Schedule trucks, drivers and deliveries across multiple sites.
Coordinate loading times, routes and customer requirements.
Adjust schedules to manage urgent jobs, delays and breakdowns.
Maintain accurate dispatch records and transparent communication.
Plan movements with safety, compliance and fleet efficiency in mind.
About you
Experience in transport scheduling, dispatch or fleet coordination.
Confident communicating with drivers, customers and operational teams.
Able to make decisions and stay calm in a busy workplace.
Robust organisation skills and confidence using computer systems.
Building supplies, quarry or tipper transport experience highly regarded.
