About the role

Working closely with management and administration team, you'll be responsible for keeping payroll accurate, compliant and running smoothly.

Key responsibilities
Processing fortnightly payroll
Understand and apply contemporary awards
Managing classifications, allowances, overtime, penalties and other Award conditions
Process leave applications and maintaining employee records
Managing PAYG withholding and superannuation requirements, including PayDay Super
Assist with Coal LSL reporting
Assist with end-of-month reporting and reconciliations
Providing general finance and administration support

About you
Proven payroll experience
Robust practical experience with the Black Coal Mining Award
Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy




Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Great communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
A high level of confidentiality and professionalism
A positive, can-do attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
