About the role

SEA Heavy Diesel is looking for an experienced Parts Manager to take ownership of our parts department – sourcing the right parts for our workshop, driving parts sales, and keeping our stock and storeroom running like clockwork. This is a newly redesigned role for someone who knows their way around heavy diesel parts, loves solving a tricky sourcing problem, and is just as comfortable on the phone closing a sale as they are running a stocktake.

Key responsibilities
Sourcing and procuring the right parts for trucks, plant and heavy machinery – from OEM dealers, wholesalers and alternative suppliers
Serving customers at the counter and over the phone, quoting jobs and actively driving parts sales
Managing stock levels, reorder points and stocktakes so the right parts are always on hand
Keeping our parts store organised, protected and easy to navigate
Building robust relationships with suppliers and customers alike

About you
Proven experience in parts interpreting, parts sales or a parts counter role (heavy diesel, truck, earthmoving or automotive parts highly regarded)




Strong parts/mechanical knowledge and the ability to cross-reference part numbers
A proactive, sales-minded approach to customer service
Solid inventory/stock control experience
Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
A current driver's licence; forklift licence highly regarded

Attractive base salary - $80-$95k/year pending experience
