Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Permanent Part-Time Medical Receptionist (30 hours per week) to join our team at Waurn Ponds Medical Centre. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in representing our clinic. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing appointments, handling inquiries, and supporting our doctors and clinical staff with day-to-day administrative tasks.

Responsibilities;
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, empathetic, and professional manner.
Manage patient appointments efficiently, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
Verify and update patient information accurately using Best Practice software.
Handle incoming phone calls,



manage general inquiries, and relay messages to staff promptly and accurately.
Support doctors and clinical staff members with routine administration tasks.
Process patient billing and payments in strict accordance with business and Medicare guidelines.
Maintain accurate, secure patient records in full compliance with healthcare privacy regulations.
Resolve patient concerns effectively while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

You will have;
Previous experience in a medical administration or quick-paced customer service role is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Best Practice clinical software is highly advantageous.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with solid interpersonal capabilities.
Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Flexibility to work a variety of days and times to meet the permanent 24-hour weekly schedule including weekend work.
