The Ballarat Surgicentre is looking for an experienced receptionist to join its friendly, supportive, and dedicated team of specialists.

This will be an ongoing casual position for 2 days per week.

Tasks and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
General reception duties which involve greeting patients and answering the telephone in a courteous and skilled manner.
Management of Specialists Consultation and Surgical Appointment Lists
Processing of patient consultation claims.
Preparation of Hospital Admission paperwork
Creating and maintaining patient records
Carrying out General office and administration duties

The Successful candidate will have:
Previous medical reception experience is highly desirable.
A genuine Customer service focus and confident, caring, and professional manner.
Possess Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
Solid verbal and written communication.
Possess friendly and professional telephone manner.




Critical attention to detail in processing billing
The ability to multi-task - prioritising patient care and work calmly in a busy yet rewarding environment.
Strong commitment to protecting patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality.
Excellent computer and IT literacy

Operational Hours

Monday to Friday

Please note flexibility with shifts is required, there are variable start times during the day, with the first shift starting at 8 am. Shifts are 8 hours per day.

Note: We post the roster a minimum of 6 weeks in advance to assist with planning and supporting a work life balance.

Hourly Rate

Negotiable based on experience.

This position will suit a student who is looking to work a couple of days per week whilst completing their studies.
